I recently visited Hong Kong with my mother on her way back to the US. This was my first trip back since 1993, when I travelled there for a training camp before a big competition in Japan.
I remembered why I loved the place. Good food, nice hotels, a fabulous harbour, and an easy to navigate transportation system. I will be back soon with my daughter and husband!

Hong Kong has something for everyone – high-end shopping malls, open air markets, cafés, dim sum houses, parks, hiking, and beaches.

The links to this page provide information on hotels, restaurants, public transportation options and other topics of interest when travelling with children.

In the words of Anthony Bourdain, “Hong Kong is a wonderful mixed-up town where you have great food and adventure. First and foremost, it’s a great place to experience China in a relatively accessible way.”

c. Restaurants:
– Ye Shanghi: A causal, but authentic and tasty restaurant. We ate at the one at the Pacific Plaza near the Conrad Hotel. It was filled with locals and was not a typical tourist trap. It can be a bit pricy, but worth the expense.
